There are many ways to invite. In the memory jogger document, they teach a certain way. In the My Gold Rush training, they teach a certain way. I strongly advocate the invites that Ben Sturtevant gives in his Vision Team Marketing Group Training:

Why? Because if a chiropractor can turn into a top-producing networker via the materials, then anyone can. So with no further ado here we go.

The Way You Invite Depends on How Close You Are to the Person

The invite always just takes 1 minute. But what you say depends on how close you are to the person. You make a list of 100 people and they mostly will be in your "inner circle" but you be the judge on which invite to use.

Inner Circle

I  have  something important  I  wanted  to  share  with  you  and  I’m  pretty  excited  about  it.    If  I  sent  you    a  link  to look  over  would  you  be  willing  to  take  5 minutes  to  check  it  out?    Great,  when  do  you  think  you’ll  have  a  chance  to  look  at  it  for  sure?”

An alternative invite is offered by Michael Obay here.

Your Circle: People you know but they aren’t your inner circle

“Hi  (Prospect),  I  hope  all  is  well.    Listen,

you  may  not  know  yet  but  I’ve  recently  started  a  part-time  business  around  my  (YOUR  JOB)  job.    I  am  extremely  excited  about  what  we’re  doing.    I’m  working  closely  with  some amazing  people  to  launch  my  business  and  I  would  love  to  share  what  we’re  doing.    If  I  were  to  shoot  you  over a link  would  you  be  willing  to  do  me  a  favor  and  just  watch  a  brief  5 minute overview?

Your  Outer  Circle

“(Prospect),  my  name  is  (Your  Name).    You  may  not  remember  me  but  (Insert  how  you  know  them).    I  was

hoping  you  could  help  me.    I’m  working  closely  with  a  new  company  that  is  expanding  into  this  market  and

I’m  reaching  out  to  some  ambitious  and  driven  entrepreneurs  that  might  be  able  to  help  us.    This  may  or  may

not  be  for  you  but  you  might  be  able  to  lead  me  to  someone  that  could  be  a  fit  for  what  we’re  doing.    Would it  be  okay  for  me  to  send  you  some  information  to  look  over  and  then  to  follow  up  with  you?”

Michael Obay has an excellent discussion of cold market prospecting as well.

Business  Owner/Professional

“(Prospect),  my  name  is  (Your  Name).    You  don’t  know  me  but  I  found  your  business  card  (or  however  you

found  them).    I’m  in  the  process  of  expanding  my  company  into  this  area  and  when  I  do  that  I  like  to  connect

with  other  business  owners/professionals.    I  was  hoping  you  could  help  me.  Would  it  be  okay  for  me  to  send

you  some  information  about  what  we’re  doing?    You  may  be  able  to  refer  me  to  someone  that  can  help  us

with  our  expansion.    If  so,  let  me  know  and  I’ll  shoot  you  over  some  quick  information.”

Someone  You  HIGHLY  Respect

“(Prospect),  this  is  (Your  Name).    I  was  hoping  you  might  be  able  to  help  me.    I  greatly  respect  what  you’ve

done  in  your  business  and  would  like  your  OPINION  on  a  new  project  I’m  working  on.    It  would  really  mean  a

lot  to  me  to  get  your  insight.  Would  it  be  okay  if  I  shot  you  over  some  information  to  look  at  and  the  follow up  with  you  to  get  your  feedback?”
